Riiight. I got HARDCORE sick yesterday (just like everyone else around here it seems), I think it was some sort of stomach flu deal. I was reminded how much I absolutely HATE vomiting. And poor
alucardbluestepped in a little of it by accident before I could warn him. Today I can at least keep crackers and ginger ale down, and the awful chest pains have dulled. Breathing is good!
In happier news, got an e-mail from my Katsucon artist. He finished my comission of Meta! and Neo! Fred, I'll be getting it in the mail in a couple days. Meanwhile, here is a link for those who'd like to take a gander. I'm very happy with it, I think he did a fantastic job! He really brought out the sense of them being two parts of one entity. It's awesome. And he gave her freckles. Random, but not bad.
What else...oh, a very happy birthday to
yuki_kokoro! Hope you have an awesome day!
And now to finish the interview meme questions

1. Gackt. Can you remember the first song of his that you heard... as well as your first impression of the song?
It was "Vanilla". (Boy, I certainly won't forget that as long as I live.) I think dreamer_scribe sent it to me. I took a listen, bopped along to the beat and thought, "Hey, this is a cool song! Very catchy! Wonder what the lyrics are about..." And so Research!Chibi came out, English translations were hunted down...and sweet heavens, my world was never the same. It was the start of an era. XD
2. Language is a wonderful form of communication. But just like all communication, words can get miscommunicated. What, in either your opinion or even experience, is the hardest thing to communicate to another person through words?
Personally, I would have to say...my irrational fears. All those little mental potholes and obsticles that make me do ridiculous things, things that the logical parts of my brain can not fully compute. Maybe it's because I don't fully understand them myself. Perhaps it's a deep internal paranoia that it will be used against me to hurt me. I'm not quite sure. But be it verbally expressed or written down, it never quite comes out the way I want it to...
3. There is something gay about boys, and I just can't put my finger on it. But perhaps you can. What is it about boy/boy relations(hips) has drawn you into shounen ai/yaoi?
DAMN, I THOUGHT YOU COULD TELL ME! ::laughs:: On the one hand, it could be because for the most part, shonen-ai/yaoi is primarily written by women, for women. I find that (at least fanfiction/manga wise) the characters tend to be well-developed, the stories engaging, and the fandom (for the most part) fun to geek around with. On the other hand, it could be because I spent a good chunk of my formulative years (and by that I mean high school) being friends with gay men and going to school in the gayborhood, so the drama, flareups, and random penis encounters make me very comfortable. On the other hand (wait a sec, when did this become "Fiddler on the Roof"?) it could just be because most bishonen look like baby dykes anyway, and I'm just a perv. At least it would explain why such a large portion of the yaoi fandom are bisexual women/lesbians.
4. So many people use the phrase, "makes me happy in my pants". Do you think it is possible to make people angry in their pants?
Two words darling. Cock-blocking. Wait, here's two more: blue balls.
5. If you were to go to the Zoo, and for some reason you could only see four animals, no more and no less... which animals would you choose to see and why?
1) Bears. Nuff said there.
2) Panthers. I like large cats in general, but there is something about the attitude of panthers that says "Ah. More of those furless slug-monkeys. Step through the grove of cold trees, noisy beasts, and give me something to sharpen my claws on." I think if lava were an animal, it would look like a panther.
3) Peacocks. The males (the ones with the plumage) are so very alien and grotesquely beautiful, and the sound they make is what I think the ripping of the veil between this world and the spirit world sounds like. I'm weird, ne?
4) Humans. I'm a people watcher, and there are few things quite as engrossing as watching human beings interact with animals in a controlled enviornment. Not that watching people anywhere else isn't fun also, but there is something about a Zoo that makes people behave in all sorts of interesting ways.
