I spent my Friday in the hospital followng a horrendious system crash that took me out of commission for a few days. Because my doctor couldn't see me until Dec 1st, she ordered me to go to the E.R. ASAP.
Good thing I did. For the few of you that don't know, I have Graves' Disease, which is a severe form of Hypothyroidism. My hormone levels were actually off the chart low (the doctor delievered this news with a very "how are you still alive?! tone of voice, much to my chagrin).
But I'm on antibiotics and a generic form of Synthroid, and I feel better than I have in...waaaaaay too long. I went into work smiling. On a Monday morning. I freaked out a few co-workers, tee-hee. ^_^
Damn I wish I'd done this sooner. By spring, I'll have lost weight due to having my metabolism back and getting exercise (YAY), my hair will grow back or at least stop falling out (YAY), I'll be able to concentrate and stop having mood swings (YAY), and my period will be back and regular(...um. Yay. I guess). XD
