End Transmisson. Over and out.

 From now until the forseable future there won't be any more Tranmissions. Started my new post today. Am a paperwork jockey. Lots of typing, no internet, no phone. But I'm employed, and there is a chance I may be able to apply for a permanent position in another department soon. Am strangely very tired.

I will not panic, I will not panic...

I learned something about my new Sidekick. If I miss a call, but don't have it set to to the homescreen, it won't TELL me I missed a call until I go BACK to the homescreen.

I see an unfamilar number, I call it back. It's a lady from my temp agency. 

Temp Lady: Don't bother going in to work tomorrow, your assignment has ended.
Me: Huh? No no, I just got a new assignment under Denise Green...
Temp Lady: That's the one I mean. She terminated it, and it really has nothing to do with you! In fact you got *excellent* reviews from your former supervisors, and the only reason they let you go was because of budget cuts.
Me: ::slowly going numb:: Then why-?
Temp Agency: For some reason Robin didn't ask Denise in advance if it was alright to put you there, and she called me today and asked us to end the assignment due to budget constraints. She did *know* you were coming, so I don't know why she waited until the end of the day to cancel...

Bottom Line: Adecco wants me to call them at noon, there are other positions open at Blue Cross and other places in the area. She knows I won't have a problem finding another spot, since every single one of my former supervisors gave nothing but *stellar* remarks for me and my performance reviews were top notch (which would have been nice to know before I got laid off, thanks). The problem is, she wants to find something that pays as good if not better than my old job. I just want a fucking roof over my head. So as of right now, I am unemployed. Really unemployed. And broke on top of it, with big bills coming.

[This explains why a lady I talk to in the lunch line came up to me with a printout of a permanent job posting there, telling me to apply for it tonight with an updated resume. "I can't guarentee anything," she said. "The supervisors have to interview you, but I'll put in a good word." I figured she just heard what happened last week.]

This is happening for a reason. I might be moving on to something bigger and better. I have to believe that. I just have to. Otherwise I...really don't know what I'm going to do. I don't. Other than drink. Drinking would be a very bad/ very good idea right now.

Not like I have anywhere to be in the morning.
