Mother. Fucking. Hell

 This guy just pulled me into an office and told me that the bigwigs had a meeting last Friday and decided that they had to cut most of the Adecco Staff due to budget difficulties.

Which explains why my phone has been so super busy this week...

Adecco failed to inform their employees, so a lot of temps came in on Monday and there was a ton of confusion.

No one told me anything, until a few minutes ago. They're saying they will pay me for today, but I should have been gone end of buisness Fri.

So of course I called my Adecco rep, and she is saying my name wasn't a part of that list of people who are supposed to be let go. She's calling Robin Clark to figure out what's going on.

I'm kinda numb right now. And really scared.

Update On Job

 ::deep breath::

Bad news: I've lost my position as a customer service rep. They were supposed to have told me this last Friday and didn't, because once again I fell through the cracks in the system. The guy who talked to me wasn't feeding me a line: They got orders to cut back big time, and temps were the first to go, especially since Adecco temps (like me) are expensive.  Robin Clark (read: big wig) came over to talk to me and personally apologize for all the miscommunication and bad form, which she didn't have to do. I am less than peon, she is Grand Duchy.

Good News: There is an opening over in EAB that she wants me to take starting Monday. Same building, only now I'll be working under Denise Green. No idea what I'll be doing, but it's a job and in the same place, which is wonderful and miraculous and thank you thank you Universe.

Not So Great News But It Could Be Worse: The pay is lower by about a dollar. But I will manage. I've scraped by on a hell of a lot less, and jobs are really fricking hard to come by. I will gladly take it. ^_^

Random Hey But On The Bright Side News: My Sidekick finally works. And they are paying me for a whole day's work even though I'm not working it. So I just got home, my blood pressure is stabilizing, and I think I'm going to take a short nap before I fall over.
